Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In order to identify the discriminatory factors of the high-risk paternal figures for the child in the group of parents reported to the Child Protection services, 34 factors included in the Protocol on Risk Factors and Protective Factors were investigated (Di Blasio, 2005). 247 psychosocial records related to reported households were consulted and the data of 163 fathers were retrospectively identified. Logistic regression models show that the presence of Mistrust towards social norms and institutions, disinterest in child development, social deviance, distortion of empathic abilities and the absence of autonomy and a network of parental and friendly support, characterize the profile of fathers at greatest risk.
