[Autom. eng. transl.] Starting from the question of the other, of the two, of the link with the like, as crucial in the very rise of psychoanalysis, and from the various Freudian elaboration of that instinct that makes no link, anti-bond, called the "death" impulse, the present work deals with crucial questions on the subject of “conflict”: neurotic generational conflict, rebellion, struggle of children against the father, tragedy blowing in the quiet of the domestic peace of the bourgeois family, “killing” of the father and also, therefore, fraternal rivalry, the conflict is central to the very heart of the Freudian subject, whose birth is birth to the symbolic, to and through the medium of the word, of which the inscription of the name is immediately reflected. But what sets up this mediation as effective? How can otherness actually arise that does not make the other arise only as an antagonist? Starting from the question that the mirror image poses, it was for Jacques Lacan a privileged way, also a political one, as we also find in Freud, because the identifying image, although primordial, then goes on to almost directly affect the relationship with the complex modalities of ties: it concerns directly and at the same time family ties with the polis, in which to find, according to the essential structures of cohabitation, inevitably political, the place of this mediation. In the Freudian conception of the family, we can thus re-read not the phylogeny of affects, in the variegated oedipal phantasms, but the very question of otherness, of the Other as a place of symbolic recognition, structuring the subject as an instance of bond. Paci-or unimportant? To be able to grasp what allows this Other, as a place of regulation of opposites, to be constituted. In this the paternal position is crucial: guardian of the good identifications that allow exit from childhood, a classic way of thinking about family ties, or a function that first of all appoints, gives name, allowing the subject to find himself not by the way of threat of castration, but in the itinerary of a choice with regard to the ethical responsibility of one's position, which cannot therefore be separated from its social effects.
