Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Antonio Muñoz Molina is a Spanish writer, essayist and journalist. Since 1995 he has been a member of the Real Academia de Lengua Española and between 2004 and 2006 he was director of the Instituto Cervantes in New York. Thanks to his rich literary production, such as The Winter in Lisbon (1987), Beltenebros (1989), The Polish Knight (1991), he received numerous literary awards including the Planeta. In 2013 he was awarded the prestigious Príncipe de Asturias de las Letras Award. This text is the result of a conversation with Dante Liano, Professor of Spanish-American Literature and Literature at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, held on October 15, 2014 at the «Palabras contemporáneas» meeting.
