Abstract

The paper is intended to analyse the subject of time in Leopardi’s canto A se stesso. Although this canto plays a role as “ending poem”, nevertheless it doesn’t end Leopardi’s poetry at all, opening, on the contrary, new horizons to Italian lyrical poetry.
