Oltre Forma, oltre la forma: il "segno" di Antonio Sanfilippo

[Autom. eng. transl.] Articulated reflection on the character of Sanfilippo's work between the second post-war period and 1960, when the Sicilian artist, active in Rome in the Forma group, progressively moves away from it, identifying the character of his painting, which stands out in Europe and international for adhering to a poetic of the sign that can only be partially traced to the informal sphere. With attention to individual choices and the way in which his work is received in that context, also thanks to the attention reserved for him by critics such as Prampolini, Ponente and Michel Tapiè, his painting is re-proposed at the center of experiences that from the Roman environment go gaining an international dimension.
