Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The author, commenting on an article by Martin Johnson that analyzes the values and ethics of nursing care, notes that it is necessary to distinguish those that are values related to the cultural and social context and those that are values related to the person and as such non-negotiable. In fact, a failure to distinguish the 'different value of values' would lead to questionable conclusions especially in a field that is very felt by nurses, which is that of end of life. It is not a question, therefore, of changing the values with the changing of the times but of putting oneself in dialogue to rediscover those fundamental values and to strengthen them and re-motivate them with greater awareness
