Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution takes up the main trajectories and outcomes of a study path that involved researchers from different Italian universities, sharing a convergent reflection on the complexity and implications related to producing knowledge and change in organizations today. Starting from questions about what it means to be and be a work and organizational psychologist and how to conceive the perimeter between research, training and profession in the field, the contribution deepens the coordinates of an approach oriented to the production of significant knowledge (relevant, valid, effective), starting from the real problems of people in organizational situations. In this way the ways of conceiving and practicing action research are reread, highlighting their constitutive features and exploring the epistemological, methodological and operational implications of a renewed vision of research applied to organizations.
