Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution outlines the events of the San Bovo Ark commissioned by the abbot of the eponymous abbey in Voghera, Bernardo Baldizzoni, to the Milanese sculptors Simone Scarilli and Filippo da Castello. Furthermore, around the ark it was possible to combine a series of documents and monuments relating to the activity of the wooden sculptor Baldino da Surso and the Tortonese painter Manfredino Bosilio, who shed more light on the artistic culture of the second half of the fifteenth century in Voghera, an osmotic center at a figurative level, oriented in the sculptor field towards Milan and Pavia and in the pictorial one towards Tortona and Liguria
