Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] This handout collects, in paper version, the material relating to the STATISTICS course. It originates from the lessons of Prof. Angelo ZANELLA, who taught for many years at the Faculty of Economics of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, and presents in-depth applications of a useful nature in the field of economic sciences, business management, of cultural heritage and entertainment and tourism sciences. The topics covered essentially concern descriptive statistics, the study of connection and dependence, and introductory elements of probability calculus. There is also an electronic version of the handout (e-book), available on the website http://www.educatt.com/libri/materiali, intended for the preparation of the written test, and connected (via links) with the material concerning the solution of various exam topics (of which a paper version is also available). The text 'Themes and solutions for the statistics exam' provides different levels of support: the simple reminder of the topic covered, the automatic connection to the theory pages, to the results of the exercises and to the guided and detailed solution of the same.
