Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The article intends to reconstruct the history of the "Giornale della mia vita" manuscript by Paolo Mantegazza; in doing so it is also possible to present and update the bibliography in this regard. The first volume of the diary is then described with particular attention, concerning 1848 and worthy of interest for the political theme dealt with in it. Finally, the note closes with a rapid analysis of some linguistic and stylistic aspects of the first volume.
