Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution offers an updated summary of the figure of the person offended by the crime in the Italian penal system, with references to the main international and European sources on the subject. The contribution introduces to the doctrinal and jurisprudential comment of the articles 120-131 cod. pen. (right of lawsuit; request and request for proceedings), widening the horizon to touch, albeit in a synthetic form, on general current issues, including: criminal policy profiles; the 'European statute' of the victim and Directive 2012/29 / EU; the offended person in substantive and procedural criminal law; the injured person in conditions of particular vulnerability; offended person, civil party and criminal liability of institutions; the victims of criminal justice and the protection of the innocent.
