Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Afterword to Bernard McGinn's volume on Summa theologiae and the events of its reception. In particular, the events that have led in the last century and a half in Italy to an in-depth study of Thomas "philosopher", and in fact to a marginalization of the theological themes of his work, often far from obvious and in fact also at the origin of controversies and condemnations in the Catholic Church itself in the years preceding the Second Vatican Council.
