Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In the judgment under discussion, the Court of Cassation states that the law protects the right of objection within the strict limits of medical activities aimed at the interruption of pregnancy, after which the objector doctor cannot oppose any refusal to assist the patient. The right to abortion is included in the sphere of self-determination of the woman and if the conscientious objector can legitimately refuse to intervene in making this right concrete, nevertheless he cannot refuse to intervene to guarantee the right to a woman's health, not only in the phase consequent to the intervention of interruption of the pregnancy, but in all the cases in which there is an imminent danger of life
