Nonni, genitori e figli: una risorsa per la famiglia e un difficie equilibrio

[Autom. eng. transl.] Being parents is in continuity with having been and still being children in turn. In other words, in the parental bond echo other ties: the one that each spouse has woven with his family of origin and what each has built over time with the family of origin of the partner. As highlighted by Scabini and Cigoli (2000), the quality of these bonds has an impact on the ways in which the couple faces the transition to parenthood and the exercise of the parenting function. The chapter deals with the theme of inter-generational ties and in particular with the relationship with grandparents. After a theoretical introduction on the importance of treating these relationships in the Promotion and Enrichment Paths of the Parenting Binding, some examples of useful tools to stimulate parents' reflection on this topic are presented. The aforementioned instruments are presented according to the three levels of intervention (awareness-raising; groups of parents; groups of parental couples) characteristic of the training proposal.
