Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution synthesizes and at the same time relaunches the studies on the printer Giovanni Battista Pellizzari (or Pelizzari), a native of Sabbio Chiese, in the Bresciano area, and operative in that of Cremona. The resourcefulness of the typographer who was able to weave fruitful partnerships with the cultural milieu of Cremona in the sixteenth century - starting from his second marriage with Penelope, daughter of the painter Antonio Campi - determined his professional affirmation, supported by the effective typographic brand, derived from the Zilettis , depicting Orpheus, in the guise of a cantor.
