Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Seventy years after the October 16th 1943 raid, there is no original image, fixed or moving, that represents the events of that tragic morning. If the great plunder of the Jews of Rome represents, in a certain sense, the date symbol of the Italian Shoah, there is no original emblematic image to refer to to refer to the fate of Italian Jews between 1943 and 1945. Despite this , however, a historical imaginary was formed from the numerous cultural elaborations that accompanied the construction of the public memory of those events. In this regard, this intervention will consist of a brief review of the cinematographic works that have contributed to the formation of this multiform and fragmented imaginary.
