Abstract

The book examines the epistemological questions and explores the practical implications for the demand for meaning in education. The first part introduces the theoretical essential concepts for a phenomenological-existential teaching. The second part examines the three fundamental pedagogical dimensions of spatiality, temporality and corporeality. In particular, this book is about the experience, the epoché, the empathy, offering a reflection on the essential "emotional tones" in the relations and gestures of educational care. The three chapters of the second part analyze the three main themes, and highlight the following items: a) the lived space with reference to the factors of proximity and distance, from the self, to the family, to the social and territorial context, to the ecosystem; b) the lived time, explored in the three dimensions of past, present and future, as foundation, situation and projectuality; c) the lived body, interpreted in the phenomenological perspective, in its processes of change (from adolescence to old age) and as gender identity foundation.
