Abstract

The essay deals wirth the informal and spontaneous stories that social and health workers as well as educational workers, volunteers and "users" of the services of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia have entrusted to letters, professional reports, professional or personal diaries. These pages describe personal meetings, full of expectations, intense and often painful emotions. The common thread running through the analysis is the family (of origin or choice) each story has a deep and vital bond with. These events describe the fragility of the inner or actual family, the ideal of a desired family or A denied family experience. They tell of foster families, of children expected or never born or fallen into experiences of despair (drug addiction, eating disorders, prostitution). Parents and children who are trying hard to meet and create the same project, caring professionals and volunteers who support them in this task.
