Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Myzus mumecola is a new species of aphid of Japanese origin currently present in India, China, Taiwan and Siberia, for the first time reported in Europe. The species has been reported over the past few years in various apricot trees of Romagna. In 2016, in some areas, on 60-70% of the plants a specific tosanitary treatment was carried out. Myzus mumecola is light green to straw yellow with slightly darker longitudinal and transverse streaks. Most of the specimens caught during 2016 were in an atheral form. On the young leaves are present the rolling of the edges perpendicular to the central rib forming more or less narrow spirals. No fruit deformations are reported.
