[Autom. eng. transl.] The television of the new millennium is crossed by profound transformations that involve distribution and fruition technologies, contents and languages, markets and economic models. The volume illustrates a scenario in which television preserves its solid centrality in the media system, and identifies new forms of television spectatoriality, characterized by paths and practices - multi-platform, performative, participatory - that emerge in relation to the transformations of the fruition mechanisms and to particular areas of the offer. In this way, the most effective areas of analysis to understand this new multiTV are investigated and, with it, the physiognomy of that media experience that is taking shape in everyday life.
