Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The Mnemosine software was created as part of the PRIN project "School Memories between Social Perception and Collective Representation (Italy, 1861-2001)", which aims - among other things - to investigate the memory of school and teaching has been developed in the context of official representations and public commemorations promoted by local and national institutions on the basis of a specific policy of remembrance. As part of this project, it was planned to create a series of scientific databases relating to the representation of the school of the past in the video testimonies of teachers, in literary sources, in diaries and autobiographies, in illustrations and works of art. and in the audiovisuals, as well as the description of school decorations and honors and the various forms of public memory of the school. The software allows the physical description and semantic indexing of this heterogeneous set of sources. The software was registered with the SIAE Public Software Registry with registration number D000015049 on 10 June 2021.
