[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay proposes a unitary reading of Mirco Marchelli's poetry and production, examining his works. The creative personality of the author in fact contains in itself dual talents and abilities (even triple, if we also consider the poetic-literary side). His starting point is music: first, at the beginning, practiced in the role of interpreter, then carried on - as a parallel activity, complementary and integrated with that of visual artist - in the context of composition. Considering Marchelli separating these aspects, or ignoring one or another, diminishes the strength of a multi-faceted but coherent aesthetic thought. First of all, it is possible to identify a poetic of reuse, but free from nostalgic or memorial foldings (and even less from socio-political implications); the starting material - whether objectual or sound - is important, selected on the basis of its multiple and varied values, and then subjected to an intense and unbridled, whimsical, unpredictable elaboration process, which sometimes makes it almost unrecognizable. In fact, Marchelli's art is not spontaneous, but extremely complex and layered. The statutory definition of the works is not perceived as a pertinent problem, so that we see the painting in plastic presence, the assembly in installation, the music in spatial performance, and so on, naturally change color. The results are polysensory, polysemic, synesthetic.
