Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Curation of the volume dedicated to the relations between the artists working in Milan in the first half of the twentieth century and the image of the city, starting from the Sempione Exhibition, which took place in 1906, through the events of Futurism and following the situations that occurred between the two wars. The focus is on the way in which the artists represented and interpreted the city, on the one hand, and how the city received footprints from the artists active in Milan, in the period under consideration. The volume is part of a four-volume project, covering the period between the Unification of Italy and 2015, the year of the Expo hosted in Milan.
