Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Mycorrhizae represent the most common form of symbiosis between microorganisms (fungi, in this case) and higher plants, since the roots of most plants are mycorrhizal. It can be assumed that approximately 83% of dicotyledons and 79% of monocotyledons and all gymnosperms are mycorrhizal (Marschner, 1995). very poor. The association between the mushroom and the upper plant is generally a mutualistic symbiosis, although this is not always the case. Depending on how the fungal mycelium relates to the root, endomycorrhiza or ectomycorrhiza can occur.
