Metodologia della ricerca in psicologia clinica

[Autom. eng. transl.] It was an honor and a pleasure to take care of the Italian edition of the Manual of Research Methodology in Clinical Psychology. For some time, thousands of students and professional psychologists have approached the research methodology with this text, in the various versions that have followed over the years. This new Italian version will allow many students and researchers to enter the vast community of people who have been trained (also) "on the Kazdin", facilitating communication between methodologists and others. Besides being one of the most popular manuals in the world, reading the original text never appears heavy and is always lightened by anecdotes or explained by examples. In the Italian translation, we have tried to maintain the original spirit of the text, albeit with due adjustments necessary for linguistic adaptation. However, we considered it important to keep some words (if you like, a little "technical") in English. Sometimes these words have been accompanied by an Italian translation, although often you will find them even from the original version. The reason for this choice is simple: this manual aims at training competent professionals in the research methodology. Now, although it is certainly possible to carry out excellent research using only the Italian language, the research cannot be limited to national borders. For this reason, to facilitate comprehension (of contributions written by others) and communication (for example, of our own research results) we decided to refer to the language commonly used in the world of research - which most often occurs in English. We hope that you too, like us, will find this text useful, stimulating, and even fun.
