Abstract
Thousands of engraved and painted figures intrigue visitors to the wadis in the Al Hajar Mountains. Who created these enigmatic figures and when were they made? What are their hidden meanings? This volume Messages from the Past. The rock art of Northern Oman tries to answer these questions.
