Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] This volume collects the contributions of the IV conference of the Coordination of Doctoral Programs in COgnitive Sciences (CODISCO) which was held in Rome from 7 to 9 June 2010 and entitled "Mind, language, evolution". The intention of the conference was to analyze and compare the current interpretative models of language and mind in light of the relevance of the comparison with the theory of evolution in the contemporary discussion. In fact, attention to evolutionary themes has characterized the transition from the so-called classical cognitive sciences to post-classical cognitive sciences. In particular, this passage has led to the adoption of a new methodological constraint that requires evaluating the plausibility of a certain model of the mind and / or language in light of its compatibility with the theory of evolution by natural selection.
