Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution questions the place occupied by Don Milani's school in the Italian school imagination, through the analysis of nine documentaries - made between 1963 and 2012 - and of the three films - two products for cinema (that of Tosini in 1975 and that of Angeli in 1976) and one for television (that of the Frazzi brothers in 1997) - dedicated to the priest. Based on the wide range of specialist studies that has dealt with the Tuscan prior, the essay starts from the hypothesis that the media narratives of his training proposal have fueled the memory of Italians with a unique and original idea of school, far from their common scholastic experience, but certainly imbued with profound pedagogical meanings.
