Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Alfredo Bryce Echenique was born in Peru in a middle-class family but spent much of his life abroad. Nonetheless, 'revives' and 'reconstructs' Peru in all its novels thanks to the use of autobiographical memory. Through the reading of the novel "La última mudanza de Felipe Carrillo", the article proposes an analysis of memory both as a topic of narration and as the basis of the narrative structure with the aim of outlining its characteristics in the context of Brycean writing as artifice to recreate the voice of the protagonist and as a means to recreate one's country of origin through writing and, at the same time, rebuild one's personal identity far from one's origins.
