Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Modern family doctors' surgeries and primary care centers are facing the problems of increasing globalization and migration. At the same time, a culture of fear is damaging the principles of solidarity and social justice on which health systems are based. The clinics, and especially the doctors and healthcare professionals of tomorrow, need a new vision for the future. Since the 1970s, Primary Care has become the cornerstone of health care, with a key position in family medicine. Family Medicine and Primary Care analyzes this development, and examines it in perspective against the backdrop of the rapidly changing society of today and tomorrow. Based on concrete evidence and an analysis of clinical cases, this book provides an answer to the most urgent questions of current family doctors.
