Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Entering a survey ground - that of Manzoni's knowledge of the novels of Walter Scott - now widely visited by critics, in this contribution Matteo Sarni focuses his attention on three symbolic images of the Manzoni novel - absent or present in a different form in the 'Fermo and Lucia '- deriving from Scottish works and capable of revealing aspects of the poetry of the Lombard author.
