Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay studies the sources relating to the stage fortune of the libretto for music "Bianca di Castiglia" by Carlo Maria Maggi, represented both at the Borromeo private theater and on the scene of the Ducal Theater of Milan in the seventeenth century. Starting from unknown documents, both handwritten and printed, kept in public and private archives, he investigates the methods of rewriting the texts in the practice of musical theater, subject to the material needs of the scene.
