Abstract
In the seventeenth century, Angelico Aprosio used a large number of pseudonyms with great flair to conceal his identity as a writer. The use of these aliases took shape in two opposite forms. On the one hand, in two of the prefaces of his works, his alter egos came to life in a convivial scene to explain the genesis of these books. On the other, Aprosio was committed to unmask other authors who used pseudonyms.
