Abstract

In a geographical area that roughly includes western Lombardy and the city of Milan, the possibility of dating the contexts of the Middle Ages from the archaeological point of view is difficult due to the lack of finds useful for a chronological definition of deposits. \r\nThe article discusses this issue and offers a review of those soapstone, ceramics and glass artifacts probably produced and used between the late 7th and 13th century.
