Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] It was 1967 when in a vineyard in the Val Nure, in the province of Piacenza, on a single vine of aromatic Malvasia di Candia a bunch was noticed which had a pink colour, clearly different from all the other bunches of Malvasia di Candia. Local aromatic candia, typically golden when harvested. Prof. Mario Fregoni was then contacted, then full professor of viticulture at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Piacenza, who understood that a spontaneous mutation had arisen in the plant in question which conferred a pigmentation anthocyanin of the grape epicarp.
