"Make it meaningful": resources and tools for making vocabulary learning a skill

Abstract

The advancements in information-,\r\ncommunication- and computer\r\ntechnology have greatly affected\r\nsecond language instruction, notably in\r\nhigher education.\r\nThis article discusses some new trends\r\nin ELT methods and methodology, with\r\nan eye to a few applied issues in EFL\r\nvocabulary instruction in secondary\r\neducation. An “idea corner” is presented,\r\nwhere some multimedia tools for\r\nteaching vocabulary in the EFL\r\nclassroom are described.
