Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution analyzes through the tools of musical semiotics the compositional strategies implemented by Franz Schubert within the Drei Klavierstücke D. 946, similar to those of a novelist. Ample space is given to the examination of contemporary reviews and theoretical writings and immediately following the composition of the piano cycle, in which the narrative character of Schubert's music already appears as an aspect inextricably linked to his compositional technique.
