Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The results obtained with the tested polyethylene closure show a behavior very similar to that of cork for the 24 months the wine stays in the bottle. The small variations found, not statistically significant, did not alter the sensorial characteristics of the wine to any extent. It is necessary, however, to continue the studies extending the observation period over 24 months and expanding the range of wines under observation
