Abstract
The Museum of Rural Civilisation in Offanengo preserves a brick fragment from the Roman period on which a human figure that appears to be holding two keys with its right hand was engraved with a metal point in a rather coarse manner. This contribution attempts to interpret the meaning and motivations of this particular iconography, which remains difficult to place chronologically.
