Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] This contribution has outlined two critical steps for the process of creating a place of innovation. The first is to give this space a clear and precise mission that is consistent with the political vision of a reference policy. The second concerns the operational definition of an organizational model that inspires the implementation of a place of innovation and at the same time it draws the action, also defining the systems for the verification (in progress) of the results achieved. In this sense, we have arrived at a model that is divided into four organizational design variables: 1) the allocation of decision-making and control rights, ie the definition of the agency relationship between space owner; 2) the definition of the activities to be carried out; 3) the definition of the layout of physical spaces; 4) define the targets and the methods of engagement with the outside. In the chapter, each of these points is articulated in sub-dimensions discussed in the light of the contributions of the volume.
