Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The presence of women in Milan becomes particularly visible from the seventies onwards thanks to two ideological matrices which, despite being very distant from a theoretical point of view, will find fertile points of contact in some experiences and in some protagonists. In particular, coagulating themes will be the struggle for women's rights, the passion for justice, health care, the battle against various forms of gender-based violence, attention to issues of sexuality and motherhood. Issues that will lead not only to the creation of meeting and care / assistance places but also to radically transform the way of conceiving the role of women in society (both from a secular and religious point of view) and relations with power, with men and other women. A female presence in the Lombard capital that can be defined as transversal that animated spaces and proposed variegated and transversal activities even in the moment of health emergency for Covid-19. Milanese women were able, before and during the pandemic, to cross borders, to inhabit dissimilar spaces, to face diversity in the name of a strong community: a gender unity that does not want to be excluding or segregating but promoting a real openness to the other.
