Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution aims to investigate the presence of "foreign" artists in Milanese Sforza and to investigate the gathering places within the capital of the Duchy of the Germans. Particular attention, moreover, is turned to the study of the funeral chapel of Protaso Busti, annexed to the ancient paleochristian basilica of San Nazaro. In the decoration of the sacellum of the merchant once there were the stained glass windows with Stories of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, still preserved in the church, already referred to Luca di Leyda or Peter Hemmel of Andlau, attributed for the occasion to a master glassmaker of Nuremberg, and the wooden altarpiece depicting the Adoration of the Magi (today in the left transept of the building), traced in the text to the Flemish workshop of the master of the altar of Lombeek
