Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The chapter outlines the most relevant characteristics of the press office, highlighting its functions, objectives, interlocutors, the main operational tools (mailing-list, press and web reviews, monitoring, corrections and denials, press silence) and the main means for the dissemination of news from organizations and companies. Specifically, the press release is analyzed, in its traditional format and in that for the web; the press conference and public events, face-to-face or digital; and, finally, the press kit. The theoretical discussion is accompanied by numerous practical examples and traces of exercises that simulate real requests from various work contexts.
