Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution, inspired by the work of Francisco Goldmann, "The Assassination of the Bishop", analyzes the possible responses of the State with respect to crimes against humanity, such as those perpetrated in Guatemala and narrated in Goldmann's book. In this perspective, the work ends up reaffirming the fundamental role of the penal process in the search for a "stable" and shared truth even in spite of the change in political regimes.
