Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution reconstructs the history of the magazine "Il menabò" adopting the privileged point of view of editorial correspondence preserved in various archives: Einaudi Historical Archive (Turin State Archives), Elio Vittorini Fund (Apice Center, University of Milan), Manuscript Center (University of Pavia), Mondadori Historical Archive (Mondadori Foundation, Milan). The leading figure of Elio Vittorini emerges and the relationship with Milan, the polytechnic city par excellence and without which the adventure of the "Menabò" would not have developed.
