Abstract

The aim of this study is to correlate 3D magnetic resonance spectroscopy results with prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels and with time since externalbeam irradiation (EBRT) to verify successful treatment by assessing the achievement of metabolic atrophy (MA). According to our results, MA detection increases with decreasing PSA levels and with increasing time on adjuvant hormone therapy after EBRT, which supports long-term treatment with hormonal therapy in advanced prostate cancer.
