Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] the essay revolves around the use of life stories as a tool for reconstructing the value and social and cultural significance of cinema and the viewing experience. The essay firstly defines the epistemological value of life stories: not an 'objective' reconstruction of events, but the account of how the subjects are experienced (not lived). Then he proposes a method of reading biographical materials aimed at bringing out the value and the meaning that cinema assumes in the life of the spectators, opening up to possible and further research paths
