Abstract
The article introduces a special issue on plurality in language learning and focuses on plurality of languages, learners, contexts and educational objectives. Within this paradigm, all factors involved in the teaching process (such as the subject, the object, the learner and the context) gain a renewed complexity, which has to be considered as a precious resource for a wise and effective classroom management.
