Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Edition of eleven papal letters (almost all unpublished) now kept in the Antona Traversi archive of Meda (MB) and belonging to the Benedictine female monastery of S. Vittore, located in the same locality. The essay completes a valuable documentary dossier to clarify some problematic junctions implied by the bubbles themselves, while an articulated introduction intends to illuminate the historical context of which the published documents are an expression and, at the same time, the archival-scholarly interests of the full modern age, the whose fruits have allowed, among other things, the recovery of otherwise lost documentary material.
