Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] As part of an international research on Fate, Providence and freedom in the philosophical-religious context of the early Imperial Age, I made an analysis of Enneadi 3.1, dedicated to the heimarmene.
From the research on Plotinus' controversy with Atomists, Stoics and astrologers, an organic and significant Plotinian thought emerges on causes, the soul, Fate and freedom, which highlights his original perspectives on man, his freedom and contemplation
